The twelfth session of the Open Working Group on Sustainable Development Goals will be held from 16 June 2014 to 20 June 2014 in the ECOSOC Chamber, Secretariat Building, UNHQ.
KCDI Executive Director at E-waste Academy in El Salvador As a joint initiative between the Solving the E-waste Problem (StEP) Initiative, the Basel Convention Regional Center for Central America and Mexico (BCRC-CAM), UNIDO and other partners, the second E-waste Academy was held in El Salvador from 31 March to 4 April 2014. During the week-long programme, e-waste management challenges in developing countries were discussed. The aim of the academy was to examine the e-waste issue in its entirety and to foster international linkages and collaboration. In addition to expert lectures and presentations on topics ranging from e-waste related policy issues to technology and economics, the programme also included group projects and site visits.
